The Miss Jackson Crossroads Scholarship Pageant is one of Miss Americaís 52 licensed organizations and we consider scholarship awards to be the backbone of our pageant.

The Miss America Organization, 501(c)4 non-profit organization, is the nationís leading advocate for womenís education and the largest provider of scholarship assistance to young women in the United States, awarding millions of dollars annually in cash awards and in-kind tuition waivers. Miss America contestants also contribute tens of thousands of community service hours annually and have raised over $15 million for Childrenís Miracle Network Hospitals and Miss America scholarships since 2007. Miss America is more than a title Ė itís a movement that empowers young women everywhere to achieve their personal and professional goals by providing them quality scholarship assistance and honoring their commitment to help others. The Miss America Organization has provided a forum for young women to express their opinions, talent and intelligence since 1921. In 1945, the Miss America Organization began supporting womenís education by offering its first scholarship.
