To participate in the Miss Jackson Crossroads Outstanding Teen Scholarship Pageant, contestants must have the following qualifications:

  • be a young lady between the ages of 13 and 17;
  • be a United States citizen;
  • live full-time or physically attend school full-time in Jackson County;
  • meet the character criteria set forth by the Miss America Outstanding Teen Organization;
  • be in reasonably good health to meet the job program requirements;
  • be able to meet the time commitment and job responsibilities set forth in Miss Jackson Crossroads Scholarship Pageant contract;
  • have a talent that can be peformed on stage in 90 seconds or less; and,
  • not be eligible to compete in the Miss America competition.
